WHAT TO WATCH | Christmas films you should see

Everyone loves a good Christmas film to get them in to the festive spirit don't they? It's one of my favourite things about the run up to Christmas - in my house, we all like to get in to our pyjamas, grab a hot chocolate and watch a film together. I decided that I'd compose a list of my top 5 Christmas films for you to check out if you haven't already!

5) The Muppets Christmas Carol (1992)

This one is on here because its one I remember watching every single Christmas since I was a little one. Its stuck with me and even though I'm not a fan of the Muppets outside of this film, I love how cheery they make this classic Charles Dickens tale.

4) Deck the Halls (2006)
(picture credit goes to the alchetron.com)
After watching the show 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia', I fell in love with Danny DeVitos acting skills and how hilarious he makes everything. Even as the bad dad in Matilda, he makes a great, likeable character in every movie or program I have seen in him, and this is no exception.

3) Die Hard (1998)
(picture credit goes to the www.denofgeek.com)
While this is definitely not a 'traditional Christmas film', take yourself over to Google and type in 'Die Hard and Christmas' and all your questions for why this film makes it on to my list will be answered in the best ways possible. Plus its set on Christmas Eve, which is pretty damn Christmassy.

2) Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
(picture credit goes to the www.playbuzz.com)
Everyone has heard of Tim Burton and everyone has probably seen at least one of them. The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of his best and even though its not just a Christmas film, its still one of my December favourites to watch.

1)How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
(picture credit goes to the www.uphe.com)
If you haven't heard about this film or seen it before, I'm assuming you live under a rock or something to that extent. The famous Dr Seuss film is a firm favourite in my household and it looks like it will be staying that way for a long time.

Do you like any of the films that are in my top 5? What are your favourite Christmas films? Tell me in the comments below.
